Out of this World tech

Simple Stellar Security

ITS MINE chips are installed in the weapon props in the Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens such as the blaster given to Rey by Hans Solo as seen left.

These things are seriously valuable. The original Hans Solo blaster sold at Profiles in History in December 2013 for $246,000

ITM800 RFID chips were fitted into the blaster given to Rey.

They were also installed in all the Star Wars Collectibles Ultimate Studio Edition of super replicas. Such as Chewbacca's Bowcaster below.

Star Wars props have been widely copied illegally. Using our chipping technology is a defence against that happening.

The numbering system that they use is unique to the Star Wars franchise. It adds another level of complexity facing anyone trying to counterfeit props.

We were approached by a leading Star Wars prop maker at Pinewoopd Studios to help address problems of security, prop management and provenance.

Following a rigorous due diligence process our chips were approved for use in Star Wars props and replicas.

We also helped design the business processes that allowed the chips to be fitted in the most secure fashion possible as part of the production cycle.

However we cannot say much more than that due to the documents we signed. Disney are understandably sensitive about leaking details of the approach.

Needless to say we would take the same care and attention to detail with your own favourite project.
